I had a little fun with my new iPhone app at my friend’s wedding in Sedona this weekend. I was in the wedding party, but that didn’t stop me from snapping these fun pics!

My new Studio Sample album arrived today and I’m in LOVE! It was crafted by Queensberry, a family owned album manufacturer in New Zealand. The style that I got is called Duo and it combines Matted and Digital pages in the same album. The finished product is a perfect blend of contemporary style with the elegance of classical techniques. About a month ago I had the pleasure of doing a Trunk Show with Claire Pettibone. Claire’s dresses are vintage inspired and stunning to say the least! I wish I would have known about her when I got married. Her new collection is entitled “Tea for Two”. I love it. How perfectly romantic! Check out the photos on Green Wedding Shoes.

Inspiration for the day via an invite. This invite is so simple, yet it has so much charm! I love the colors and the fonts. One of my favorites!

I had the pleasure of meeting the ladies at Sweet E’s “The Mini Bake Shop” and took this photo of one of their cakes. Couldn’t be any cuter!

Mandy

Mandy and I go way back to college. She and I were both Photography majors at Syracuse University. She now lives in Alaska, and works as a teacher at at school where she met her husband, Tim. Their vintage inspired wedding was set at her family’s house on Cape Cod. The setting was beautiful! Everywhere I turned there was another detail to photograph. Mandy’s dress was unlike any I had ever seen before…she bought it at a vintage store in Prague, and added parts of her mom’s wedding dress to the back of her dress, as a bustle. The bride’s maids wore vintage inspired dresses. The groom’s men wore hand made buttoniers, that incorporated Mandy’s grandmother’s buttons. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Tim’s father hand made all sorts of delicious pies the day before the wedding. The morning of the wedding it was pouring rain outside but by the time the guests started to arrive, the sun was shining and everyone was in the wedding spirit! This was by far my most favorite wedding I’ve ever shot, partly because of Mandy and her wonderful family, but also because of all of the thought and beauty that went into every detail.

One of my favorite weddings that I’ve shot in the last year is featured in this month’s Manhattan Bride magazine! The wedding took place in a breathtaking rooftop garden at 620 Loft & Garden, at Rockefeller Center and right across the street from St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Abigail Kirsch catered the event. The whole evening was spectacular and even better was the love between Caroline & Jordan.

The Claire Pettibone trunk show was today and it was a SUCCESS! Claire’s dresses are magnificent and I wish I knew about her when I got married. I met some wonderful people, introduced my work to the brides-to-be who came to the event and took tons of photos. Can’t wait to share them with you!

My wedding blog has FINALLY arrived! It’s about time! In addition to my commercial work, I’ve been shooting weddings for about 7 years. I started out when I lived in LA, then moved to NY for about five years and now I am back in LA and at it again. I’ve met so many wonderful people, couples in love, interesting characters and have had a chance to be part of so many special days. I will keep doing what I do and know that I can never grow tired of it because it is ever changing and I LOVE it! So whether you are on my blog for the first time or a returning reader, I hope that you are inspired by the photos here. A good friend of mine once said that my photos are ‘the best version of real life’ and that is what I strive to achieve with every event that I photograph.
